Business Compliance Assistant (3-4 months contract) - Private Banking Our client is a reputable international Wealth & Asset Management/ Private Banking. To cope with the rapid business expansion, they are now inviting high calibre candidates to join the team. Business Compliance Assistant (3-4 months contract) - Private Banking Responsibilities Performing periodic reviews of existing accounts against applicable policies and standards Ensure as part of the process, applicable risks are appropriately identified, escalated and relevant approvals obtained, including PEP, AML, sanctions, reputational risks etc. Ensure that applicable periodic review policies and procedures meet regulatory requirements as well as any directives set by Group Compliance Support the Client Business Compliance - AML team in embedding robust risk awareness throughout Hong Kong Branch. Perform any required remedial efforts identified from risk assessment or audit findings. Prepare metrics relating to the Client Business Compliance activity Maintain key internal relationships to foster a positive compliance culture through communications, trainings and to provide colleagues with timely and pragmatic advice on day-to-day issues. Provide administrative and ad-hoc support to the team Undertake any other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum 3 years’ experience in the legal or compliance function of a financial institution or good working experience at HKMA, SFC or equivalent regulatory bodies. Have a good knowledge of HKMA/SFC rules/regulations in Hong Kong. Have prior working experiences in AML, client on‑boarding. Proficiency in English and Chinese, Mandarin speaking a plus. Organized and attentive to details. Team player and good communicator. Self‑motivated and able to work independently, able to handle multi-tasks and work to deadlines.
