Responsibilities Conduct thorough research and analysis of cryptocurrencies, digital assets, blockchain projects, and DeFi protocols, with a focus on trends impacting the Hong Kong and broader Asian markets. Monitor and analyze market trends, regulatory developments (e.g., SFC guidelines on virtual assets), and competitive landscapes within the cryptocurrency industry. Identify investment opportunities by evaluating crypto projects, token economies, and emerging technologies such as NFTs, DAOs, and staking platforms. Prepare detailed research reports, whitepapers, and presentations on trending topics in crypto trading, infrastructure projects (e.g., L1s/L2s), and economic factors like slashing risks. Collaborate with investment, trading, and compliance teams to provide data-driven insights and recommendations for portfolio strategies. Stay up-to-date with global and local developments in blockchain, including consumption patterns, market segmentation, and engagement metrics. Use quantitative and qualitative methods to assess risks, opportunities, and challenges in the Hong Kong crypto market. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree (e.g., MBA or Master's in Blockchain/FinTech) preferred. 2-4 years of experience in crypto research, investment analysis, market research, or a related role within the financial or blockchain sectors. Deep knowledge of Web3.0, blockchain technologies, DeFi, and cryptocurrency markets; familiarity with Hong Kong's regulatory environment (e.g., SFC licensing for virtual asset service providers) is essential. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools like Excel, Python, SQL, or data visualization software (e.g., Tableau); experience with blockchain analytics platforms (e.g., Dune Analytics, Nansen) is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, insightful reports on complex topics. Proven ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment, with a keen interest in staying ahead of industry trends.
