- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and system design.
- Conduct gap analysis and recommend solutions to improve system efficiency and effectiveness.
- Project Management:
- Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Coordinate with IT, finance, and other relevant departments to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on project status and progress.
- Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure accounting systems comply with relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with the accounting systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a large financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial processes, and financial products accounting.
- Understanding of accounting software in a financial environment setup.
- Understanding of financial product accounting with different products such as derivatives, fixed income, and equities.
- Previous project experience in bringing accounting systems transformation is a great plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in Agile development practice is a plus.
- Strong project management skills with experience leading cross-functional projects.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
