As the Banquet Chef, you will play a pivotal role in crafting unforgettable culinary experiences for VIP gatherings, corporate conferences, grand weddings, and prestigious social events. Your leadership, creativity, and operational acumen will directly influence the hotel’s reputation for exceptional gastronomy and flawless event execution. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, preparation, and execution of all banquet culinary operations, ensuring impeccable quality, taste, and presentation. Manage, mentor, and inspire the banquet kitchen brigade to foster a high-performing and cohesive team environment. Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and Event Services teams to design bespoke menus for corporate events, luxury weddings, and VIP functions. Ensure all food production meets the hotel’s brand standards, hygiene regulations, and health & safety protocols. Maintain effective cost control, purchasing, and inventory systems specific to banquet operations. Guarantee consistency and excellence for events ranging from intimate VIP dinners to large-scale banquets hosting over 1,000 guests. Continuously innovate with new concepts, creative presentations, and memorable culinary experiences. Build strong relationships with suppliers to secure premium-quality ingredients. Champion sustainability initiatives, including waste reduction and responsible sourcing within the banquet kitchen. Requirements Minimum 8 years of culinary experience, including at least 3 years in a senior banquet or executive sous chef role within international luxury hotels or resorts. Mastery of both Asian (particularly Southeast Asian) and Western cuisines. Proven success managing high-volume banquet operations for high-profile events and corporate functions. Professional experience in Southeast Asia and other international hospitality markets is essential. Strong leadership abilities with a demonstrated talent for team development and training. Exceptional organizational, planning, and time-management skills. Fluency in English is required.
