Provides guidance and support for worldwide product sourcing process. Maintains responsibility for development and execution of procurement strategies for a group of components or services. Establishes and drives strategic global bidding/initiatives. Maintains responsibility for commodity plans, supplier selection, quotation/contracting and supplier relationship management for high dollar commodities. Facilitates process of making the material commitments. Drives continuous improvements of SCM function through interactions with other departments. (#LI-CT1) Expert knowledge of the marketplace conditions for a broad range of strategic commodities, industry pricing, technology, supply/demand and emerging trends. Excellent understanding of global business environment and customers business, organization, products and processes. Ability to lead complex negotiations effectively. Problem-solving skills to deal with Customer/ Supplier issues. Ability to evaluate, prioritize and problem solve a variety of tasks to ensure their timely and accurate completion. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with a wide variety of internal and external customers.
