Responsible and accountable for ensuring departmental alignment with company objectives, setting and implementing strategic goals for the company, the Trading Director will play a crucial role in leading a high-performing team to achieve sales growth and profitability, optimizing sales effectiveness. A typical day in this Role Strategic Leadership: Lead and oversee all trading activities and decisions within the Trading Department to drive growth and profitability. Category Management: Guide all category teams in managing the profit portfolio, driving business development, and providing strategic direction to achieve the company's KPIs. Trading Strategy Development: Design and implement innovative trading strategies aimed at increasing revenue and enhancing profit margins. Market Analysis: Monitor competitors and industry trends to stay ahead of market changes, ensuring timely adaptations to our trading strategies. Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and business partners to explore and maximize new trading development opportunities. Performance Culture: Cultivate a performance-driven culture within the team by tracking and managing the trading pipeline and enhancing trading effectiveness.
