Moolarben Coal mine is Australia’s largest thermal coal producer and has both Underground and Open cut operations producing over 21 million tpa. It has over 800 employees with employees residing in the beautiful Mudgee area, with all the facilities for a fantastic family lifestyle.

The Moolarben Coal Complex is located approximately 40kms north of Mudgee, comprising of Open Cut and Underground mines and a Coal Handling Prep Plant. This is an exciting opportunity based at the Moolarben Underground site, where you will be able to develop and progress your career within a diverse team of talented, enthusiastic individuals.

Job Tasks and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Outbye Engineering Team, you will be a part of a dynamic and motivated team. The role will require you to:

  • Conduct effective maintenance, defect rectification and fault finding on surface electrical infrastructure and plant.
  • Monitor surface electrical equipment/plant to ensure it remains in a fit for purpose and safe condition.
  • Contractor management/supervision, planning and organization of materials and equipment.
  • This is a position for a highly motivated, organized and self-managed person.
Skills and Experience
  • 3 years’ experience maintaining surface infrastructure typical of heavy industry/industrial plant/surface mine installations.
  • Electrical trade and NSW Supervisors Certificate.
  • Planning, organization and management maintenance activities.
  • High standards of engineering.
  • Qualifications applicable to the relevant area are recognized HV accreditation.
  • Further studies in the electrical field will be highly regarded.
