Responsibilities
- Develop and manage software solutions for the Market Risk Department
- Lead data projects collaborating with the IT department for risk analysis and profit and loss analysis activities
- Provide IT and Data expert advice to Market Risk Managers
- Manage day-to-day requests and queries from risk analysts, acting as the principal contact for the team
- Manage a portfolio of End-User Computing tools or tactical tools used in the department
- Hands-on software development on tactical IT solutions
- Maintain and support the software and tools used in Market Risk
- Ensure good IT design and architecture practices are utilized for all IT tools within Market Risk
- Build relationships and work closely with the IT department for project execution and adaptation
- Promote the use of new technology like Data Science to improve efficiency or increase quality in the department
- Assist in the development and promotion of SG tools that will be utilized by the team
- Manage offshore Tactical Development and Support team for the Hong Kong production environment
Profile Required
- Bachelor's in Computer Engineering or Computer Science; Master's degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Data Science, FinTech) is a plus
- Strong programming skills, design, and concepts
- Experience in an IT development team
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming theory and practice (C++, Java, C#)
- Knowledge of Python, Git, GitHub
- Ability to work in a team environment, focusing on collective success
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Responsible and ethical behavior
- Commitment and consideration for others
- Knowledge of Node.js and web application development is a plus
- Fluent in English
- Proactive, analytical, rigorous, able to multi-task and work under pressure

- Knowledge of VBA, web application development (e.g., React), and dashboarding technology (e.g., Power BI)
- Financial knowledge (derivative products)
