We are looking for a skilled AWS Cloud Consultant to help us maintain and optimize our client's cloud infrastructure as they prepare for the global launch of our applications. Our client is a forward-thinking organization with a global presence in Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore, and the United States. They specialize in innovative digital solutions, focusing on mobile applications, cloud infrastructure, and AI deployment. With a small but dynamic IT team in Hong Kong, they are expanding their cloud capabilities to support their growing business needs. Job Summary The AWS Cloud Consultant will play a critical role in managing and maintaining the company's AWS cloud infrastructure. This position will ensure the cloud environment is optimized, secure, and aligned with the company’s 3-year roadmap, which includes launching B2B and B2C applications. Working closely with their internal IT team, development teams, and external vendors, you will provide infrastructure support, monitor performance, and manage costs. This role is ideal for someone with strong AWS expertise and a proactive approach to cloud management. Key Responsibilities Oversee AWS environment, ensuring high availability, security, and performance. Transition the infrastructure from the build stage to the run stage smoothly. Implement best practices for AWS cost management and performance optimization. Monitor system health, manage cost forecasting, and apply security patches. Operational Support Provide infrastructure support during the run stage (5 days a week, no 24/7 support required). Manage AWS-specific functionalities, including monitoring, building, and maintaining systems. Collaborate with development teams to ensure app maintenance aligns with infrastructure capabilities. Strategic Planning Work with stakeholders to design and implement scalable solutions for AWS and potential multi-cloud environments (AWS + Google Cloud). Support the development of a technical environment for B2B and B2C applications. Contribute to long-term infrastructure planning to support the company’s 3-year roadmap. Work closely with internal IT and development teams to align on infrastructure requirements. Coordinate with external vendors and offshore development centers in China and Hong Kong. Job Requirements Technical Skills Hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure management, cost optimization, and security. Familiarity with multi-cloud solutions (AWS + Google Cloud is a plus). Knowledge of monitoring and management tools for cloud infrastructure. Experience Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, with a focus on AWS. Experience in transitioning systems from build stage to run stage. Proven ability to manage infrastructure for global applications. Soft Skills Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external vendors. Ability to work independently and proactively suggest improvements. Preferred Qualifications AWS Certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator). Experience supporting B2B and/or B2C mobile applications. Background in working with offshore development teams. Familiarity with AI infrastructure and data engineering concepts (a plus).
