  • We are looking for an experienced professional to join our team as DISPENSER - with details as follows :
The Job :
  • Work in a clinic located in Central District
  • Medication Dispensation : Accurately dispense medication as per prescriptions, ensuring correct labeling with the drug name, strength, quantity, usage directions, and patient identification details.
  • Patient Counseling : Provide thorough counseling to patients on dosage, storage instructions, and possible side effects of their medications.
  • Regulatory Compliance : Adhere to practice policies and Hong Kong laws when dispensing medicines, especially those relating to expensive and controlled drugs. Obtain patient consent for medications not registered in Hong Kong.
  • Drug Interaction Management : Identify potential drug interactions and notify prescribers before dispensing.
  • Prescription Processing : Process repeat prescription requests within the agreed timeframe and document appropriately.
  • Customer Advice : Offer professional advice to patients regarding over-the-counter medication purchases.
  • Inventory Management : Maintain minimum stock levels of medications and consumables, regularly checking expiry dates and storage conditions.
  • Order Management : Place accurate and timely orders with suppliers, accept deliveries, and record them in the computer system.
  • Resource Sourcing : Source medications, consumables, and equipment as requested by doctors or managers. Identify alternative suppliers in case of supply chain disruptions and maintain a list of suppliers.
  • Language Proficiency : Fluent in English (spoken and written) and conversational in Cantonese/Mandarin.
  • Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or clinic environment.
  • Working hours: Mon to Fri 9am-5:30pm; Sat 8:30am-1pm; alternative Saturdays off.
  • Annual leave: 14 days
  • Medical insurance
