WWF-HK is seeking a bold and visionary Director of Development and Corporate Partnerships to lead our fundraising and corporate engagement efforts. This senior leadership role is responsible for driving revenue growth through innovative business development, strategic partnerships, and donor engagement. The Director will take the lead in expanding our supporter base, diversifying revenue streams, and building long-term relationships with corporate and individual donors. The position supports the CEO, Conservation and Education Directors in driving growth through active engagement of senior management in the corporate sector along with their sustainability and philanthropy teams to outline WWF concept plans and projects. The position is also the point of contact for the Development Committee and development of major corporate accounts. The position supports the CEO and COO in the coordination of the strategy for revenue generation through supporter events (Earth Hour, Big Bird Race, Walk for Nature, etc.) and corporate sponsorships, developing outside supporter event partnerships. The position is supported by a team of managers looking after community relations, corporate partnerships and sustainability. The team handle corporate prospects identification for memberships, major donors, trusts, foundations and legacies. It also leads acquisition on conservation concept and deals with brand licensing relationships for client products. The position also oversees the management of individual giving, with a strong link to our Marketing and Communications teams, to develop segmentation strategies to leverage donor and supporter engagement using social media and digital fundraising to reinforce the role of WWF to the Hong Kong Community. Major Duties and Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Direction Lead the development and execution of a multi-year fundraising strategy focused on revenue diversification and supporter growth against defined donor targets. Provide strategic direction to the fundraising team and senior management, aligning fundraising efforts with conservation impact and organizational goals. Actively participate in the Senior Management Team to support transformational change and organizational capacity building. New Business Development Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, including major gifts, corporate sponsorships, grants, and legacy giving. Assists the CEO and Conservation Directors to develop and leverage corporate engagement relationships to secure revenue growth to support delivery of WWF HK’s Vision and Mission. Develop innovative fundraising models and partnerships to expand WWF-Hong Kong’s reach and impact. Lead acquisition efforts for conservation concept plans and brand licensing relationships. Bold Decision-Making & Business Acumen Make courageous, data-informed decisions to optimize fundraising performance and donor engagement. Apply strong business sense to assess ROI, manage financial risks, and ensure sustainable growth. Prepare and monitor Annual Operating Plans (AOPs), budgets, and KPIs, adjusting strategies as needed. In accordance with established WWF guidelines, ensure that appropriate monitoring and evaluation systems are implemented. Relationship Building & Representation Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate leaders, major donors, foundations, and community stakeholders. Serve as the key contact and support for the Chairman of the Development Committee in leveraging their corporate engagement networks to secure support and revenue growth against donor targets. Represent WWF-Hong Kong externally at key events, meetings, and forums, acting as a confident and credible proxy. Lead and mentor a high-performing team responsible for community relations, corporate partnerships, and sustainability. Collaborate closely with Marketing and Communications to develop donor segmentation strategies and digital fundraising campaigns. Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and collaboration across departments. Regional & Global Engagement Liaise with WWF Asia Pacific and WWF International to align with regional and global development initiatives. Support and leverage WWF’s global network and resources to enhance local fundraising efforts: services of the fundraisers, marketing and communications community of practice and WWF Global Development Centre. Required Qualifications and Skills At least 10 years professional experience in a leadership and management role, with demonstrated success in leading business development, corporate account and management of customer relationship and cross-functional sales team. Preferred experience in a senior position managing a Philanthropy trust or foundation for a corporate or family group and/or in assessing the financing sustainability initiatives. Experienced in Strategic planning and analysis, project management, business management and having financial budgetary responsibility and able to be flexible and adapt to changing situation. Required Behavioural Skills Strong critical and strategic thinking skills to provide strategic leadership on development of WWF corporate supporter base and donor programmes. Strong planning, organizing, problem solving and prioritization skills. Ability to coordinate and prioritize tasks and provide leadership in support of transformational change and organisational capacity building. Strong customer relationship skills to focus on conservation impact, community engagement and relevance of WWF to the community. Diplomatic with excellent communication skills, including an ability to interact confidently with senior level corporate leaders and other stakeholders. Financial management skills to achieve revenue diversification and balance risk versusROI. Positive attitude and innovation to develop new strategies to drive donor development through corporate foundations, trusts, networks and community relations and support these through our corporate engagement account teams.
