Kowloon, Hong Kong SAR China Uni-China (Group) Co., Limited Full time

Add expected salary to your profile for insights We are seeking a proactive and business-oriented Finance Business Partner (Finance BP) to bridge the gap between finance and logistics operations and become a core driver for data-informed decision-making and cost optimization across our logistics scenarios. You will act as a strategic link between the finance team and frontline business units (e.g., transportation, warehousing, cross-border logistics), leveraging financial expertise to support project feasibility, control end-to-end costs, and ensure financial compliance. Your work will directly contribute to improving the profitability and operational efficiency of our logistics business. Core Responsibilities 1. Business Support & Decision Empowerment Participate in the feasibility analysis of critical logistics projects, including trunk transportation routes, warehouse expansion, and cross-border logistics line development. Lead the financial evaluation by calculating costs, gross profit, and ROI, and provide data-driven financial recommendations to guide project approval and implementation. Build scenario-specific financial analysis models for core logistics links (transportation, warehousing, distribution). Key models include: Per-shipment transportation cost analysis (e.g., by route, carrier, or cargo type); Warehouse efficiency metrics (e.g., storage space productivity, inventory turnover rate); Cost-effectiveness evaluation of capacity procurement (e.g., comparing in-house vs. third-party costs). Regularly output financial insights reports to business leaders, identifying opportunities to optimize operations or adjust business strategies. Decompose end-to-end logistics costs, covering transportation fees, warehousing fees, fuel costs, labor costs, and other operational expenses. Conduct root-cause analysis to identify waste points (e.g., high empty-loading rates, excessive inventory backlogs, inefficient route planning). Cost-Reduction Initiatives Drive cost-reduction initiatives by collaborating with business teams: Optimize capacity combination (e.g., mixing full-truckload and less-than-truckload shipments); Adjust warehouse layout to improve space utilization; Negotiate better terms with carriers or suppliers based on cost data. Review financial clauses in business contracts, including carrier cooperation agreements and customer logistics service contracts. Ensure pricing is reasonable, settlement risks (e.g., delayed payment, ambiguous cost allocation) are mitigated, and contract terms align with company financial goals. 3. Budget Management & Financial Governance Lead the annual budget preparation and rolling forecast for the logistics business line. Collaborate with business heads to set realistic budget targets (e.g., cost per unit, revenue projections) and align them with company strategic objectives. Track budget execution in real time, monitor variances and issue timely early warnings. Propose corrective actions to bring operations back on track. Coordinate with the corporate finance team to complete logistics-related expense accounting and reimbursement reviews. Standardize financial processes, with a focus on billing process and AR collection. Key Requirements Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the logistics, supply chain, or transportation industries (experience in finance BP, financial planning & analysis, or cost control is a must). Strong financial modeling and data analysis: Proficient in Excel (VLOOKUP, PivotTables, financial formulas) and experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) or logistics management software (e.g., TMS/WMS) is a plus. Business acumen: Ability to translate financial data into actionable business insights and communicate effectively with non-finance stakeholders (e.g., operations managers, project teams). Attention to detail: Rigorous approach to cost decomposition, budget tracking, and contract review to avoid financial risks. Problem-solving mindset: Proactive in identifying cost waste or operational inefficiencies and driving solutions. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to work under pressure, and strong sense of responsibility. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities. Application Questions Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Hong Kong?
