THE ROLE We are seeking experienced Chinese Language Teachers for our Elementary, Middle, and High School programmes. We have openings across all three divisions. The successful candidate will be a skilled educator capable of differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of students at their assigned grade level. Key Responsibilities: Teaching & Learning Design and deliver engaging, standards-based Chinese language curriculum aligned with student-centered educational philosophy Teach Chinese language across assigned grade levels (Elementary, Middle, or High School) Differentiate instruction effectively for students with varying proficiency levels, from heritage speakers to students learning Chinese as an additional language Teach and model proficiency in traditional Chinese character writing Foster students' appreciation for Chinese language, literature, and cultural heritage Utilize formative and summative assessments to inform instruction and track student progress Integrate educational technology to enhance language learning Work collaboratively with local and foreign teachers in a multicultural, bilingual environment Participate in co-planning and curriculum development with colleagues Engage in professional learning communities and departmental meetings Contribute to a respectful and collaborative learning community Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress Cultural & Professional Development Promote Chinese values and cultural understanding within the school community Stay current with developments in Chinese language education Uphold and adhere to the school's safeguarding policies and procedures QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Master's degree in Chinese Language Education, Chinese Literature, Education, or related field Valid teaching certification/license Minimum three years of teaching experience in Chinese language Native or near-native proficiency in Mandarin Chinese Demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction across varied student proficiency levels Strong knowledge of Chinese language pedagogy and literacy development Expertise in traditional Chinese character instruction Highly Desirable International school teaching experience Experience with Project-Based Learning (PBL) and interdisciplinary teaching approaches Strong cross-cultural communication skills and experience collaborating with international faculty Bilingual proficiency (Chinese/English) Familiarity with international curriculum frameworks (IB, Common Core, Chinese national standards, or equivalent) Knowledge of heritage language education and culturally responsive teaching Experience integrating Chinese cultural arts into curriculum WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR Flexibility to teach across different age groups and proficiency levels Cultural adaptability and collaborative mindset in a multicultural teaching environment Commitment to progressive, student-centered education Passion for inspiring students' love of Chinese language and culture TO APPLY Please submit your application including: Cover letter addressing your experience with differentiated instruction and collaborative teaching Current CV with expected salary indication Contact information for three professional references Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Hong Kong?
