Prepare briefs for design, artworks and photos. Edit content for print and electronic teaching / learning materials. Liaise with writers and illustrators to develop projects. Assist in project planning. Assist in supervising junior editorial staff. Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by management. Requirements University graduate in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Engineering or related discipline. Minimum 5 years editorial or related experience in Textbook publishing, with experience in Science subjects for Primary or Secondary Schools is distinct advantage. Familiar with the local Science curriculum and publishing production. Attention to details. Good command of Chinese and English, both verbal and written. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Chinese input. Organised and self-motivated. Work independently under schedule constraints. Able to motivate others. Candidate with less experience will be considered as Project Editor/Editor. 2-year renewable contract base.
