Deputy Director of Equity Investment Department We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Deputy Director for our Equity Investment Department. In this senior leadership role, you will collaborate closely with the Department head to shape and execute investment strategies, manage Hong Kong equity portfolios, and drive outstanding investment performance. You will lead a talented investment team while ensuring full compliance with risk and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in global markets, a proven investment track record, and the leadership skills to inspire and develop high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities Support the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of the firm’s equity investment strategy. Oversee portfolio construction, rebalancing, and risk management to align with client objectives and market opportunities. Monitor macroeconomic trends, policy shifts, and market developments to inform timely investment decisions. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of investment professionals, including analysts and portfolio managers. Establish clear and efficient investment processes to ensure disciplined and agile decision-making. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning within the team. Client & Business Engagement Partner with the sales and marketing teams to deliver expert insights to clients and support business development efforts. Participate in key client meetings and presentations, offering strategic investment perspectives. Contribute to the design and launch of innovative investment products and solutions. Qualifications & Experience Master’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field from a leading university. CFA, FRM, or similar professional qualification is strongly preferred. Must hold relevant SFC licenses (e.g., Type 4 & 9 for regulated activities). 10+ years of relevant experience in asset management, equity investments, or fund management. At least 5 years in a leadership role with direct team management responsibilities. Demonstrated experience in international markets, with a strong track record in portfolio management. Previous experience at a top-tier global asset management firm or financial institution is a plus. Expertise in equity research, portfolio construction, and investment risk management. Strong understanding of Hong Kong and global financial markets, along with relevant regulatory frameworks. Excellent command of English and Mandarin, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and sound judgment. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and cross-functional teams. We offer 5-day work, good working conditions and attractive fringe benefits.
