Overview Technical Officer/Senior Technical Assistant in Biobank Core of the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS). Ref.: . The appointment is to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. CPOS is an academic research-support centre embracing multi-omics and big data biomedical research under the LKS Faculty of Medicine. Career Prospects Excellent on-job training Long-term development opportunities Exposure and interactions with world-class research groups Expert technical and managerial career track The Role Support core services for sample processing and equipment maintenance Support data management in the Biobank Core using LIMS Liaise with users to coordinate service logistics Qualifications And Qualities Bachelor’s degree or above in Biomedical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or a related discipline Strong passion for science and technologies Self-motivated, responsible, conscientious, meticulous; and enjoy teamwork Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English Proficiency in MS Office applications Prior experience in processing clinical samples would be an advantage Proficiency in using microtome and cryostat for FFPE, and frozen tissue sectioning and embedding would be an advantage Candidates with higher qualifications or more experience may be considered for appointment as Technical Officer Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview.
