Technical Officer / Senior Technical Assistant in Biobank Core of the Centre for PanorOmic Sciences (CPOS) Ref: – commissioned to commence as soon as possible on a two‑year fixed‑term basis. The contract includes contract‑end gratuity and a university contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totaling up to 10 % of basic salary, with a possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. Career Prospects Excellent on‑job training Long‑term development opportunities Exposure and interaction with world‑class research groups Expert technical and managerial career track The Role Support core services for sample processing and equipment maintenance Support data management in the Biobank Core using LIMS Liaise with users to coordinate service logistics Qualifications & Qualities Bachelor’s degree or above in Biomedical Sciences, Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or a related discipline Strong passion for science and technology Self‑motivated, responsible, conscientious, meticulous; enjoys teamwork Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English Proficiency in MS Office applications Prior experience in processing clinical samples is an advantage Proficiency in using microtome and cryostat for FFPE, and frozen tissue sectioning and embedding is an advantage Candidates with higher qualifications or more experience may be considered for appointment as Technical Officer Benefits Highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience Annual leave, medical benefits, continuing professional development Free access to on‑campus gyms and libraries Application Process Shortlisted candidates will be invited to interview.
