Job Title Senior Quantitative User Experience Researcher (Frontend) (Bangkok-based, Relocation provided) Overview Join Agoda as a Senior Quantitative User Experience Researcher (Frontend) based in Bangkok with relocation support. This role emphasizes applying quantitative research methods to improve product experiences, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and shaping strategic research initiatives. Responsibilities Conducts research end-to-end for high impact, guiding stakeholders toward effective collaboration with research aligned to goals. Initiates research efforts that support Product Vertical goals with a well-informed understanding of the business. Formulates programmes of study and knowledge sharing relevant to strategic objectives of the teams. Leads projects in collaboration with other stakeholders. Assesses pros and cons of various research methodologies and mentors others in using techniques and tools for high-quality execution. Research Skills Expertise in evaluating research opportunities, especially with ambiguous requests (importance, urgency, impact). Ability to manage, challenge, and shape inbound research requests and propose solid projects or programs. Strong project execution, exploring alternate methods, mixed methods, and innovative approaches. Deep understanding of quantitative and qualitative research and how to apply findings to drive project direction. Deep expertise in at least one domain, user type, or method, acting as the go-to person on the research team. Triangulation of findings, methods, and theories to ensure reliability and depth of insight. Ability to maximize value of research through secondary research and expert inspection methods. Solid knowledge of software tools for surveys, diary studies, analysis, etc., and applying the right tool to the problem. Solid knowledge of GDPR, data compliance and ethics in all activities. Communication & Collaboration Drives cross-discipline collaboration via research insights and activities. Collaborates with other researchers and disciplines with shared ownership. Excellent communication skills; tailored communication for different audiences, concise and receptive to feedback. Contributes to establishing and implementing standards of research excellence across the organization. Qualifications Masters Degree or PhD or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Information Science, Psychology, Social Science, or related field. 10+ years of relevant experience in consumer-facing business domains. Expert in quantitative research (log analysis, internal metrics triangulation, survey design, sampling, crosstabs, statistical concepts, etc.). Experience with qualitative and user-centered design methods (interviews, diary studies, direct observation, think-aloud usability testing, etc.). Comfortable with planning, scoping, conducting, analyzing and communicating research. Experience evaluating, negotiating, and working with external research vendors. Ability to describe user problems and business opportunities to stakeholders using data. Strong critical thinking and storytelling/communication skills (English).
