We are looking for a DeFi Wizard, a technical maestro who thrives at the intersection of protocol design, on‑chain mechanics, and emerging market opportunities As our DeFi Wizard, you’ll join the Asset Management team to identify, design, and execute cutting‑edge DeFi strategies. You’ll work on everything from liquidity provision and yield optimization to cross‑protocol interactions, all while ensuring rigorous risk controls and clear documentation. Chaos Theory has been pioneering digital assets for over a decade, and your expertise will directly influence strategies that manage a nine‑figure crypto treasury. A Day in the Life Imagine starting your day by scanning real‑time on‑chain activity to spot promising trends and potential inefficiencies. You dive deep into quantitative simulations to model opportunities across lending markets, AMM liquidity pools, and emerging protocols. After a strong cup of coffee in our Hong Kong pantry and entertainment area, you meet the lead portfolio manager and engineers to prototype a new strategy that capitalizes on innovative tokenomics. Throughout the day you refine your models, meet with the leadership team, and adjust your tactical approach as market dynamics shift. Before you wrap up you document your insights and risk controls in preparation for the next board meeting. You make the most of it. You're in control. We all win. Qualifications A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in crypto, DeFi, quantitative finance, or blockchain product/strategy roles Deep understanding of DeFi primitives, on‑chain mechanics, protocol design, and token economics A strong analytical mindset with hands‑on experience in modeling, backtesting, and strategy evaluation Proven experience working with multiple blockchain ecosystems (e.g., Ethereum, Solana, BNB Chain) The ability to thrive in a high‑autonomy environment, whether remote or in‑office Preferred (but not strictly necessary) A quantitative or technical background (e.g., mathematics, engineering, computer science, or data science) Familiarity with scripting, automation, or basic smart contract interactions Exposure to arbitrage, derivatives, or crypto market microstructure Responsibilities Monitoring and analyzing DeFi protocols, on‑chain activity, and tokenomics to identify high‑conviction opportunities Designing, implementing, and refining DeFi strategies that span lending, AMM liquidity, derivatives, and emerging protocols Collaborating with portfolio managers and engineers to prototype, test, and deploy strategies efficiently and safely Conducting quantitative analysis and simulations to assess potential returns, risks, and capital efficiency Keeping pace with ecosystem dynamics, including protocol upgrades, governance changes, and incentive shifts Supporting the development and automation of analytics and monitoring tools Maintaining robust risk controls, operational discipline, and clear strategy documentation Benefits A dynamic, collaborative, fun, yet challenging work environment Attractive salary and benefits Flexible working hours An office located in the heart of Central, Hong Kong (remote work considered) A state‑of‑the‑art entertaining floor, including a fully stocked bar, pantry, gaming consoles, and a growing library A team of 100+ globally representing over 20 countries — we’re multi‑cultural and proud of it On‑site company gym / yoga studio with showers, changing rooms and free daily classes Expensed weekly team lunches and regular social events Company events, including Christmas and Summer parties and our much‑loved beach BBQs Location Based on seven floors of office, gym, yoga studio, and entertainment space in Hong Kong's SoHo district, we work with colleagues around the world to shake things up in one of the most exciting places on the internet today — the digital center of sports, entertainment, and cryptocurrency.
