Job Description - Solution Architect (240641)
This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 24 months with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.
Responsibilities
- Bridge communications between IT and business to ensure alignment of technical solutions to business goals.
- Interprets and delivers impactful strategic plans improving data integration, data quality, and data delivery in support of business initiatives and roadmaps.
- Designs the structure and layout of data systems, including databases, warehouses, and lakes.
- Translates high-level business requirements into data models and appropriate metadata, test data, and data quality standards.
- Designs and implements processes for the ETL process from various sources into the organization’s data systems.
- Ensure solution architecture finds a balance between company-wide strategic needs and short-term tactical needs.
- Ensure solution architecture is well integrated holistically and well regarded by stakeholders i.e. lines of business (LOBs), IT development/infrastructure/operations, and ensure compliance with governance processes.
- Drive the enterprise architecture and roadmap definition, including standards and policies, architecture patterns, reference architectures, target state blueprints, and roadmap for the relevant domain (i.e. data).
- Work closely and collaborate with other architects to align and co-own the enterprise architecture strategy (for all business and technology domains).
- Lead analysis of the current IT environment to identify critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
- Keep abreast of the latest trends in technology, industry, and corresponding business domain, analyze market trends to determine their potential impact on the company architecture landscape.
- Support and promote the continuous development of AAHK Architecture Practice.
Requirements
- University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines.
- TOGAF certification is preferred.
- Minimum 6 years of IT experience with at least 2 years solution architecture experience.
- Proficient knowledge and working experience in at least one of the domains: infrastructure (including cloud services), data, security, or aviation business.
- In-depth experience on data governance and data platform is preferred.
- Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environment.
- Experience in Agile Architecture / DevOps is an advantage.
- Being a motivated, self-driven individual and an experienced consultant with IT solution design background.
- Excellent breadth of thinking, being able to provide pragmatic solutions that consider all relevant constraints whether technical, financial, organizational, risk or capacity based.
- Understanding of aviation business and processes is an advantage.
- Excellent command of English and Chinese. Proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage.
