Head of Cost Optimisation & Business Change (APAC) Head of Cost Optimisation & Business Change (APAC) is responsible for designing, leading, and executing large‑scale transformation initiatives across a multi‑brand Retail organisation. The role focuses on cost optimisation, working capital improvements, and organisational simplification to enhance profitability, performance, culture, and capabilities. This role ensures the successful delivery of change programmes that improve performance, culture, and capabilities across the business all leading to profitability improvements. Key Responsibilities COSTS & PROFIT: Lead enterprise‑wide cost efficiency initiatives to improve profitability, operational effectiveness, and long‑term financial sustainability. Partner with senior leadership across brands to identify, design, and implement cost‑saving strategies while maintaining service quality and performance with business goals. WORKING CAPITAL & 3RD PARTIES: Drive improvements in working capital, particularly payment terms, across multiple brands. Rationalise third‑party vendors to ensure efficient contracts and partnerships. CONSULTING: Deliver high‑impact analysis and solutions to internal stakeholders (primarily CEO & CFO), resolving business challenges and supporting implementation with pragmatic recommendations. Demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills and stakeholder engagement, enabling successful collaboration and delivery across diverse geographies and business functions. CULTURE: Plays a support & contributory role in brainstorming, designing, implementing, and sustaining initiatives that help develop and enhance the organisation’s culture (across multi‑brand). This role partners with leaders and employees to embed values, drive engagement, and foster an inclusive, high‑performance environment aligned with the company’s goals & desired behaviours. CHANGE MANAGEMENT: Develop and implement changes to business processes, practices, structures, and reporting. This includes change planning, stakeholder management, change support, implementation & delivery of changes, risk management. CHALLENGE: Act as a constructive challenger to the business (as the CEO's eyes & ears), identifying improvement opportunities in a collaborative manner to enhance operations. GOVERNANCE: Establish governance structures for transformation programmes. Monitor progress, manage risks, and report on outcomes to executive leadership. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field Proven experience delivering complex transformation programmes within large, matrixed organisations. Significant experience within the Retail, Consumer Goods, or multi‑brand sectors is strongly advantageous. Strong business acumen, coupled with exceptional analytical, organisational, and stakeholder management abilities. Exceptional critical thinking and a hypothesis‑led, data‑driven approach to problem‑solving and decision‑making. Composed, resilient, and steady demeanour, capable of leading effectively under pressure. Proactive and adaptable, with a continuous improvement mindset. A data‑driven mindset for problem‑solving and decision‑making, including the ability to generate insights independently when needed.
