Business Function Corporate and Investment Banking provides corporate customers with a full range of commercial banking products and services, including cash management services, current accounts, time deposits, trade finance, working capital finance, term loans and foreign exchange. Objective Manage the team of Documentation Services to provide professional support to IBG Relationship Managers in drafting and reviewing all types of DBS Standard security and facility documentations. Manage the team of Post Acceptance staff to provide services to Institutional Banking Group Relationship Managers and customers in execution of facility documents. Develop and continuously review, streamline and improve procedures of document checking processing to increase efficiency and reduce turnaround time. Use data to illustrate the current state of the team, including the negative impact of problems or the potential positive impact of opportunities, and to identify trends, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities Check all security and facility documentation as well as instruction letters to solicitors for arranging legal charge over property, assets and machinery. Draft and review all types of security and facility document templates and obtain approval from the Legal Department. Provide documentation advice to product and sales teams in structuring of deals and products. Check offer letter and security documents based on credit and legal approval. Ensure all documents returned by customers are duly executed and completed in order before submission to Credit Control Unit. Ensure the approach, process, control and quality assurance in respect of compliance and risk management is documented. Manage working relationships with internal customers and external service partners to ensure workflow is smooth. Monitor team productivity and quality enhancement. Ensure the team is aware of any change in policies and guidelines about internal control standards and external statutory regulations (e.g., training, briefing in team meetings). Continually develop and appraise the staff according to their performance. To lead assigned specific projects / manage specific functional areas – manage for success within the resources given. Requirements Degree holder, preferably majoring in business and/or Company Law preferred. Minimum 10 years relevant experience in banking and credit related industry with 5 years in supervisory level. Preferably with PRC documentation knowledge. Solid skills in drafting of legal documentations. Possess necessary skill and experience to solve problems for subordinates, customers and other service partners. Coaching skill to motivate, develop and guide individuals towards achieving department’s goals. Business oriented, promptness in action, well‑organized. Strategic thinking and problem‑solving skills. Good communication and presentation skills. Knowledge of PC applications.
