Assistant Manager, Content Partnership & Business Development (Smart TV / webOS) Business Development & Revenue Growth Source & Secure Partners: Identify and onboard key Subscription Video on Demand (SVOD), Broadcaster Video on Demand (BVOD), and Transactional Video on Demand (TVOD) Over-the-Top (OTT) Application partners. Expand our Free Ad-supported Streaming TV (FAST) and Advertising-based Video on Demand (AVOD) content lineup, ensuring alignment with Headquarters strategy. Deal Negotiation: Lead contractual and licensing negotiations with content providers and distributors to secure favorable terms. New Business Models: Develop innovative service models with global and local content providers, with a specific strategic focus on Chinese Pan-Asia partners. Ad Revenue Generation: Identify and engage regional advertising agencies to drive monetization and support revenue targets. LG Channels Operation End-to-End Operations: Lead the launch, programming, and daily operation of channels in local markets. Growth Campaigns: Plan and execute content promotions, leveraging in-house assets and regional marketing campaigns to drive viewership. Performance Optimization: Monitor channel Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) daily; optimize programming schedules to maximize local audience engagement. Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison between Headquarters, local affiliates, and other regional subsidiaries to ensure operational synergy. Partner Engagement & Ecosystem Management (webOS) Partnership Marketing: Develop joint marketing activities with global and local content providers (focusing on Chinese Pan-Asia partners) to drive application visibility and engagement. Technical Launch Support: Oversee the end-to-end process of partner Application launching, ensuring smooth integration and management on LG webOS Smart TVs. Data Analysis: Track and analyze Application usage, Channel and Video on Demand (VOD) performance, and Return on Investment (ROI). Ad Performance: Monitor advertising metrics within LG Channels and the broader Smart TV interface. Strategic Insights: Analyze market intelligence, competitor trends, and regional regulations to provide actionable strategic recommendations. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or above. Proficient English & Chinese (Written- Traditional & Simplified; Spoken- Cantonese & Mandarin) is mandatory. Must be skillful enough to lead complex projects and negotiations in both languages. Project Management & Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently, manage timelines, and lead projects from conception to execution. Experience in Business Development, Partnership Management, Channel Programming, or Content Sourcing within the Over-the-Top (OTT) / Broadcast / Media / Platform sectors. Solid understanding of the Pan-Asia media ecosystem and the digital advertising market. Ability to analyze Advertising-based Video on Demand (AVOD) service/channel performance and draw strategic conclusions based on complex data sets. Established network within the media and advertising industry is preferred. Able to work closely with Product Management Team and HQ, reporting to Marketing team to align objectives with strategies.
