Overview A banking based SOE Fund house and investment bank. This is a pure syndication-focused role centered on the distribution and placement of primary equity products, primarily IPOs and equity placements (including follow-on offerings, rights issues, and block trades). The successful candidate will benefit from the parent bank's strong referral channels to major institutional investors and focus on investor targeting, book-building, and deal distribution. Responsibilities Focus exclusively on the syndication and distribution of primary equity transactions, with emphasis on IPOs, follow-on offerings, rights issues, block trades, and placements. Leverage referrals and established relationships from the parent bank headquarters to engage with key institutional investors; work closely with institutional sales teams to facilitate order flow and effective distribution of new issues. Manage book-building processes: collect indications of interest and firm orders, maintain order books, and provide real-time investor feedback to support pricing and sizing decisions. Lead investor targeting and marketing efforts, including coordination of deal and non-deal roadshows, investor education sessions, and gathering market intelligence on investor appetite. In multi-bank syndicated deals, coordinate with counterpart syndicate desks at co-bookrunners/co-managers, including managing pot allocations, fee splits, and inter-syndicate communications. Contribute to final pricing recommendations and allocation decisions, prioritizing high-quality, long-term institutional investors to ensure stable aftermarket performance. Maintain and enhance investor databases, monitor investor sentiment and allocation trends, and provide regular updates to the team. Support preparation of syndication-related materials, including investor targeting lists, book updates, and allocation summaries. Ensure full compliance with SFC regulations, HKEX listing rules, and internal policies throughout the syndication process. Travel frequently to mainland China to attend investor meetings, support roadshows, and maintain close coordination with headquarters and parent bank teams. Requirements Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related discipline; CFA or relevant qualifications are a plus. 3-6 years of relevant experience in ECM syndication/distribution or institutional equity sales (with primary market focus), preferably within a Chinese securities firm, SOE bank platform, or bulge bracket bank in Hong Kong. Deep understanding of primary equity markets and HKEX placement/IPOs processes, including cross-border transactions (e.g., H-shares, Red Chips). Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to thrive in a high-pressure, deal-driven syndication environment. Fluency in Mandarin (both written and spoken); Cantonese is an advantage. Proactive, detail-oriented, and team-player with proven syndication execution capabilities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
