Cost and Procurement Manager – Japanese Speaking (Project Based) Redpath Partners is searching for a Cost and Procurement Manager to work for a Real Estate group with Hotel and Residential projects in Tokyo and Osaka. Coming from QS, Procurement, Supply China or Cost Management background, the Cost Manager will manage a diverse portfolio including commercial, residential and hospitality projects. Key Responsibilities Deliver key elements of larger Cost Management assignments. Assist with the development of Cost Management services and products. Take responsibility for the delivery of projects, commissions and bidding system and processes for Japan projects, promoting standardized operation of the cost and contract management system. Familiar with and proficient in Japanese construction industry standards, organize research on market prices of various materials, and strictly perform cost control duties. Assume a leading role in setting objectives and priorities, working as a proactive team player. Assist in the preparation of fee proposals. Maintain effective communication ensuring all information is available for the successful completion of projects, to liaise with other managers to ensure efficient financial control resulting in projects being cost effective. Work collaboratively with other Senior Quantity Surveyors to manage related issues on the multi-disciplinary projects and liaise with stakeholders on requirements. Qualifications Experience in cost or procurement roles in Japanese projects within construction companies, or experience with large domestic projects in corporations such as Mitsui or Mitsubishi is preferred.
