Benefits Flexible medical benefit for you to better take care of well‑being of yourself and your family Bright and vibrant work environment Top up employer MPF contribution What You’ll Do As a Medical Advisor/Senior Medical Advisor (Neurology), you’ll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to bring a new therapy into clinical practice. You will report into the Medical Affairs Manager and be responsible for providing medical and scientific support to healthcare professionals aligned to the use of medicines in our rare disease portfolio. Responsibilities Provide external (health‑care professionals) and internal (Sales, Marketing, Medical, Market Access, Regulatory) customers with state‑of‑the‑art, balanced scientific information on neurology products, competitors and related disease areas. Provide strategic scientific advice and support for local marketing decisions and commercial brand strategy. Help optimise product commercialisation through effective cross‑functional working, leading to the generation of timely and relevant added‑value outputs. Interact in the field with the medical community in various projects such as clinical trials, non‑interventional studies, investigator‑sponsored studies, health‑outcomes research and scientific exchange meetings. Contribute promotional standards and medical information expertise in the generation of promotional material and claims, and advise the product team on all aspects of promotional activity acceptability. Work in partnership with the Market Access and Regulatory Team, providing medical information and promotional standards expertise and input to high‑level documentation. Demonstrate business ethics and ensure active respect of values, local laws, policies and marketing procedures. Ensure all activities comply with the Code of Conduct, supporting policies and standards, and company values. Other duties within the position’s scope as assigned by the line manager. Essential for the Role University graduate in science or related discipline. 2+ years’ experience in medical affairs function in the pharmaceutical industry. Ability to seek and critically assess information, put it into context and evaluate its impact on the business. Possess a high ethical standard and knowledge of the HKAPI Code of Practices. Knowledge of good clinical practice. Sound computer skills. Excellent written and spoken English and Chinese; conversable Mandarin is an advantage. Excellent analytical, presentation and communication skills. Desirable for the Role 4+ years’ experience in medical affairs function in the pharmaceutical industry. Experience in neurology. Possess PhD/MD/PharmD or a master’s degree in a related discipline. This position may be filled at the following levels: Medical Advisor/ Senior Medical Advisor. Why AstraZeneca?
