M+ Volunteer Guide Programme Coordinator, M+ Museum M+ is a museum dedicated to collecting, exhibiting, and interpreting visual art, design and architecture, moving image, and Hong Kong visual culture of the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. Located in Hong Kong's WestK, we are one of the leading museums of modern and contemporary visual culture in the world. The museum reflects our unique time and place, building on Hong Kong's historic balance of the local and the international to define a distinctive and innovative voice for Asia's twenty-first century. Responsibilities Assist in organizing M+ Volunteer Guide Programme recruitment, onboarding and training. Handle daily administrative tasks for the programme, including preparing roster and allowance payment on a monthly basis. Track volunteer guides’ attendance and performance. Answer inquiries and communicate with volunteer guides regularly about their overall experience. Prepare training resources and materials, such as training and tour notes. Manage equipment and set up for the volunteer guide training sessions. Maintain the programme record and keep the overall database about the volunteer guides up-to-date. Execute related duties for the smooth running of the M+ Volunteer Guide Programme, such as liaising with other departments for on-site logistic arrangements. Perform any other duties from time to time as reasonably assigned by the Authority. Qualifications Possess a recognised university degree, preferably in cultural management, art administration, education, art and humanities, or social science or equivalent. Have 2-3 years of relevant work experience; experience on volunteer projects as a coordinator or an officer is preferred. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Be self-motivated and able to work independently and cooperatively with others in a fast-paced environment. Possess strong administrative and programme coordination skills. Be highly organised and detail-oriented. Have good oral and written communication skills in English and Chinese. Be occasionally available to work weekends, evenings and public holidays if programmes or training are arranged. Be proficient in basic video editing, Chinese word processing, and MS Office, and able to adopt different IT strategies to manage personal data on platforms such as Outlook and Excel spreadsheets.
