Data Scientist (Analytics & Engineering) Our client is a well established international organisation investing heavily in data, AI, and advanced analytics to support smarter decision making across its Asia operations. They are now hiring an experienced Data Scientist (Analytics & Data Engineering) to join their Hong Kong Team. This position sits at the intersection of machine learning, analytics, and data engineering, offering strong exposure to both production level modelling and enterprise data platforms. Candidates with deeper experience may be considered at a broader or more senior remit. What You’ll Be Working On Building and productionising machine learning solutions using Python Developing analytics, predictive models, and emerging GenAI use cases Translating business problems into data driven solutions in partnership with regional stakeholders Exploring, cleaning, and transforming large datasets to uncover insights Selecting and integrating appropriate data sources for modelling and analysis Maintaining model performance through monitoring, retraining, and optimisation Contributing to scalable data pipelines and analytics workflows Supporting data quality, governance, and best-practice initiatives Providing input on tools, platforms, and analytics standards across teams Keeping up to date with new techniques, technologies, and industry trends What You’ll Need Degree in a quantitative or technical discipline (e.g. Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering) 4+ years of hands‑on experience delivering data science or machine learning solutions Strong Python capability with practical experience using ML frameworks Exposure to Gen AI concepts, tools, or real world applications Working knowledge of data engineering and analytics tooling (SQL, distributed processing, orchestration, cloud) Comfortable working end‑to‑end from data exploration to deployment Clear communicator who can engage both technical and non‑technical stakeholders Open to regional travel where required Seniority level: Mid‑Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Information Technology, Analyst, and Engineering Industries: Insurance and Professional Services #J-18808-Ljbffr
