Systems Analyst

Manage and implement the details of the projects, such as schedule planning, clarify user requirements, prepare functional / technical specifications, perform SIT, arrange & support UAT, production launch, etc. Provide user support, production system support and arrange maintenance or upgrade of application systems. Responsible for analyzing and specifying application systems requirements and design. Provide guidance and coaching to the subordinates &/or team members. Coordinate with software vendors to ensure the quality of their service / products. Main Responsibilities: Assist in conducting user requirement analysis, preparing detailed program specifications and coordinating the system installation. Work with application vendors for the assigned project. Ensure their delivery do fulfil the agreed scope and schedule. Ensure all documentation are completed on time, maintained up-to-date and with good quality. Assist to establish efficient and effective development methodologies, protocols and standards of practice. Identify systems inputs and outputs, modifications to processes, and develop technical design, system manuals and program specifications to meet functional and technical requirements. Assist in systems test design to ensure all components interact and operate effectively Provide technical support to business users and Business Analyst to conduct user acceptance testing phase. Coordinate with data center’s operators for production launch or support. Assume responsibility for production support in a maintenance environment and provide concrete solution to ensure the stability of such environment. Handle routine technical issues and health checking. Monitor, keep track of, and report project progress and status. Escalate issues to supervisor and recommend solutions for discussions. Ensure the software vendors’ quality of their service / products. Perform user support, training and cross team knowledge transfer where appropriate. Perform ad hoc projects as assigned by supervisor University graduate or equivalent professional qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent. At least 6 - 8 years relevant experience in software development With minimum 4 years’ experience in life insurance application development is preferred Solid system development experience in J2EE, 3-tier models, DB operations, Oracle platform using Java or PL/SQL, etc. Hands-on experience in web portal applications maintenance. Hands-on experience in popular application servers such as Tomcat / IIS, and popular databases such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server. Familiar with Windows and Linux server environment. Experience in App development. Knowledge in JAVA, PowerBuilder, Linux shell script programming is preferable. LOMA, or knowledge in Life products, sales compensation, premium accounting are also preferable. Mature, independent, work with minimal supervisions, able to deliver quality results under tight schedule and meet project deadlines. Good in presentation, negotiation, problem solving skills.
