Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and provide analysis on the liquidity positions of the Bank, Overseas branches and subsidiaries and monitor their status of the reliance on the Head Office’s funding;
  • Forecast the impact from the projected balance sheet movements on the key liquidity monitoring measures and escalate to supervisors if material changes identified;
  • Perform balance sheet and PnL analysis， prepare reporting package and follow up on ALCO discussion items;
  • Keep abreast of the latest updates on banking supervision issued by regulatory bodies, assess their potential impacts on liquidity management and ensure the Bank fulfills the requirements by participating in different projects;
  • Participate in the review of policies and procedures relating to liquidity management and streamline the workflow of the existing monitoring metrics;
  • Implement the Fund Transfer Pricing framework.  Ensure the Fund Transfer Pricing framework of the Bank is robust and effective to transfer the liquidity and interest rate risk, costs and benefits to the party that originating the risk;
  • Work closely with the Risk Management and other BUs on issues relating to liquidity and interest rate risk management;
  • Participate in the production of Recovery Plan;
  • Participate in new products/ initiatives due diligence from liquidity risk perspective;
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses and manage ad hoc projects/tasks as assigned by senior management;
  • Strengthen the ALM framework, ensure that proper controls are in place and the compliance with LM1 & 2.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder or equivalent in Accounting / Economics / Finance or related disciplines;
  • Holder of CSTMP / CTMP and with qualification of CPA, CFA or FRM will be an advantage;
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in banking and finance, preferably in ALM and liquidity management.  Experience in handling ALM system and SQL will be an advantage;
  • Knowledge in ALM, liquidity management, accounting principles, banking book and treasury products;
  • Good understanding of international regulatory requirements, HKMA SPMs (LM1, LM2 etc.) and Banking (Liquidity) Rules;
  • Good analytical and communication skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels;
  • Good Command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
