Ashford Benjamin are pleased to be supporting multiple international banks to hire Business Risk / Non-Financial Risk professionals at VP - ED level in Hong Kong.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct examination of the Non-financial Risk Management Framework to ensure its effectiveness and alignment with industry best practices.
- Regularly assess and track risks associated with the business activities, identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing appropriate risk mitigation measures.
- Identify gaps or deficiencies in the risk management processes and procedures, and develop strategies to bridge those gaps and enhance overall risk controls.
- Oversee the risk governance process for new business ventures and product initiatives, ensuring proper risk evaluation, mitigation, and control mechanisms are in place.
- Ensure the risk management practices comply with regulatory and control policies.
Requirements:
- Seasoned risk professional with 10+ years of relevant experience, gained either within the first or second line of defense
- Hands-on experience in non-financial risk, business risk, risk & controls, business management/COO office or operational risk.
- Strong background in global markets (equities / fixed income).
