Job Responsibilities: 

Strategy Development

  • Lead transport application team to define technical and application solutions architectural strategies, roadmap, and designs for transport business 
  • Explore latest use of technology partners to seek ways to improve the team’s delivery, and Octopus experience in transport.

People Management

  • Coach both local and overseas team to liaise and negotiate with stakeholders and customers on fit-for-purpose and state-of-art architectural design, proof of concepts, development, software testing and support IT operations
  • Lead team for solutions’ performance tuning, change management, support transport business application development and get acceptance from the clients
  • Assign work to technical personnel or suppliers, if necessary
  • Coach, train and develop technical personnel to keel knowledge of core technology
  • Contribute to knowledge management
  • Enforce compliance of policies and procedures

Product Realisation

  • Fulfill business needs by providing strategic architectural advice and implementation
  • Provide technical knowledge for product realisation activities
  • Provides subject matter expertise to identify and translate clients’ business needs into high quality data architecture design
  • Promote, make decisions on, review, enhance and enforce architectural related development standards and processes
  • Develop architectural strategy, prototyping in various applications, database and infrastructure re-engineering technologies
  • Ensures the development of internal and external, client-oriented documentation and respective evolution into recommended workable solutions are in goof quality
  • Advise Senior management to approve or reject purchases, expenses and contracts

Knowledge Management

  • Implement, maintain and improve product relalisation methodologies
  • Knowledge sharing within the organization to retain knowledge for reuse to enhance quality, profitability and market share

Job Requirements:

  • University Degree in Electronic Engineering or Computer Science or equivalent
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in IT industry with focus on enterprise architecture governance and development
  • Good knowledge in Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud, Java, and Mobile development and the relevant tool sets in the industries
  • Familiar with the technical features of government public transport fare subsidy scheme 
  • A highly seasoned senior technocrat experience working in multiple projects through the software development process or System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and has performed a variety of different roles in that life cycle
  • Certification on one of the Enterprise Architecture Practices e.g. TOGAF
  • Knowledge in contemporary enterprise architecture including data, system application, mobile and web
  • Track records in creation of IT Architectural models and their low-level components to address business improvement inactivates
  • Track record in delivering and implementing a digital architecture roadmap
  • Good team player with strong analytical and trouble shooting skills
  • Effective communication skills in both verbal and written English
