This is a SFC RO Type 9 Asset Management role but we can consider type 9 representatives with min. 3 years experience or more in money management, proprietary investing or alternative investing.

Our focus is on getting the "Job to be done" for investors - a truly challenging task to attain 'consistent lower risk' long-term performance - innovative & better.

We strive to find someone HIP, 'unconventional / rebel' from a mid-large organization looking for a refreshing change to be an 'entrepreneurial Fund Manager/EAM/RM/IR'. High confidence in their own abilities, don't accept no for an answer, and challenge the status quo.

If you can bring value to the table - with both skills and "network", let's collaborate for a larger "total package - including % performance bonus" that can be 2x bonus of big firms.

Have a good network of existing corporate/HNWI clients (a plus) and can grow that over time with our firm. A strategic mindset to drive the future success of the client's portfolios and our company under one vision.

Responsibilities

  • Create 'consistent' positive returns for clients/investors of >8-12% net p.a.
  • Implement a strong risk management 'low risk-low vol' strategy.
  • Manage and grow client base of Asian/global institutions, listed companies, UHNWI, non-profit etc.
  • Communicate to client ideas and market updates with strong conviction i.e ESG, AI
  • Keep update and research on new market ideas or work with the research team
  • Able to help manage client portfolio in bull and bear markets.
  • Use excellent risk management skills to limit losses and preserve capital
  • Look at P&L and forecast financial metrics as performance matters to clients
  • Understand basic international compliance rules & regulations
  • Assist in other aspects of the business if required

Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma with business/economics/marketing/finance/liberal arts (preferred)
  • Background as PM, traders/brokers, private bankers/RM/wealth managers, IR managers, family office strategist, economists, Quants etc.
  • SFC type 9 license RO or representative or equivalent (preferred)
  • Proprietary trading or strong investment experience of min 3 years
  • Multi-asset and multi-strategy (discretionary or quantitative)/hedging experience preferred
  • Strong communication and networking skillsets that transcends nationalities
  • A genuine passion to succeed in alternative investment management
  • Ability to speak Chinese essential and other foreign languages
