We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Consultant or Principal Consultant in Air Quality to lead and manage air quality impact assessments for various environmental projects. This role requires excellent project management skills, the ability to mentor junior colleagues, and a deep understanding of local environmental legislation.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the preparation and review of air quality impact assessments for various environmental assessments, including Environmental Assessments, Environmental Studies, Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs), and Specified Process Licence Applications.
  • Oversee the review of air modeling inputs for air quality impact assessments and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant standards.
  • Prepare and review proposals, incorporating innovative and environmentally friendly solutions.
  • Develop and enhance project management and client engagement skills, ensuring successful project delivery.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior colleagues, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
Requirements
  • Degree holder in Applied Science (e.g. Applied Physics, Atmospheric Science, Chemistry, etc.), Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or equivalent.
  • With professional memberships including MHKIQEP, MHKIEIA, MHKIE, or equivalent are preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with various types of air dispersion models including AERMOD, AERMET, CALINE4, PATH, EPD's Smart Air Modelling Platform (SAMP), etc., and other supporting software including GIS, AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge and experience in other aspects of environmental assessment e.g. noise impact assessments, etc. is an advantage.
  • Proficient skills in data processing, data analysis, and computational modeling.
  • Computer programming skills are an advantage.
  • Good observation, strong analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to conduct research and provide guidance and review deliverables prepared by junior colleagues.
  • Knowledge of local legislations and guidelines related to environmental protection.
  • Experience in managing large scale infrastructure projects.
