Senior Manager - Indirect Procurement

Our client is a sizable government-subvented organization with a well-structured management team. They are looking for a Senior Manager - Indirect Procurement to play a business partnering role with multiple category stakeholders.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible for establishing the Procurement Department to implement procurement strategies and programmes that improve the company's efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand the existing procurement operating model and make suggestions.
  • Execute the transition of current procurement practices, and implement best practices for procurement across various categories.
  • Manage and modify the end-to-end procurement process from the tendering process.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve the business and contract terms, including administration and post-execution of contracts.
  • Responsible for all indirect procurement activities throughout the entire process, from category management, budget analysis, market research, vendor sourcing, negotiation, to supplier management.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to enhance and monitor supplier performance, including managing the supplier database and building a robust supplier network.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Holder of CIPS will be an advantage.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in large-scale companies with experience in the end-to-end indirect procurement process.
  • Experience in marketing services (including brand, digital, advertising, media, PR) and event management procurement is a plus.
  • Solid experience in using e-procurement systems is required.
  • Demonstrated good interpersonal skills in managing different stakeholders.
  • Good presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Highly self-initiated, with problem-solving abilities and strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
