The Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile and monitor client cash projections to manage the firm's overall liquidity position and inform short-term investment decisions
  • Analyze client cash activity and liaise with client service teams to understand changes and trends in client cash flows
  • Ensure the firm's principal deposit exposure is understood, and that short-term investments adhere to credit and risk policies
  • Accumulate and analyze client and market activity to inform management decisions on risk and balance sheet capacity
  • Troubleshoot and escalate issues that require immediate attention
  • Monitor the firm's asset/liability and liquidity metrics
  • Interact with bank counterparties to ensure efficient and competitive investment of liquidity
  • Translate and interpret information from various stakeholders (e.g. cash correspondents, internal departments)
  • Share observations and discussions with the team to coordinate action steps and follow-up
  • Prepare reports on cash balances, investment performance, principal cash exposures, and risk positions to inform senior decision-making
  • Collaborate closely with Investor Services and Operations to understand client cash movements and trends
  • Promptly communicate asset/liability and liquidity needs or concerns to Treasury management

Your Profile

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related discipline preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience or advanced study
  • Prior financial services industry experience preferred
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, diligence, and attention to detail
  • Experience with financial instruments (particularly short-term cash instruments) and knowledge of capital markets
  • Understanding of accounting and asset/liability management
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and work within market deadlines
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English and Chinese
  • High level of integrity, ethics, and professionalism
