Job Posting Details

The appointee will be responsible for:

Performing daily operation of lathe machine, milling machine and laser cutting machine. Providing assistance to the senior technical officer/technical officer to support MAE UG teaching laboratory courses. Maintaining the inventory of spare parts and consumables in the fabrication workshop. Performing any other ad-hoc duties as requested by supervisors.


Applicants should have a relevant diploma/certificate. Post-qualification experience working with fabrication workshop is desirable. Knowledge in mechanical services, 3D printing, laboratory safety and/or drawing software (AutoCAD or SOLIDWORKS) is a plus. Trade test is required. The successful candidate should have good interpersonal and communication skills. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.

香港科技大學機械及航空航天工程學系現誠聘技術助理一職，受聘者職責包括：

車床、銑床及激光切割機的日常操作。協助高級技術人員/技術人員支援機械及航天航空工程系本科生教學實驗課程。維持工場足夠的備品備件和耗材庫存量。執行上級領導安排的其他臨時工作。

申請人應持有相關文憑/證書。申請人如擁有具備資格後在工場工作的經驗，以及具有機械服務、3D打印、實驗室安全及/或繪圖軟件（AutoCAD 或 SOLIDWORKS）方面的知識將獲優先考慮。獲篩選的應徵者需要通過技能測試。成功的申請人需具備良好的人際關係和溝通技巧。

合約為期兩年，可續聘。受聘者可享有約滿酬金、醫療福利及有薪假期。
