Trainee - Venture Investment (1-year contract)

Key Responsibilities:
Assist with research on potential investment targets, markets and sector trendsAssist in due diligence and closing of new transactionsAssist with portfolio management, including prepare operational update and attend board meetingAssist with preparing periodical portfolio performance to managementActive participation in the Cyberport start-up community, frequent attendance of events, panels, and discussionsWork with internal teams to prioritise and arrange business matching with Cyberport Community startupsAssist on ad-hoc projectsRequirements:
Degree in a finance, accounting, computer science, engineering, science or business-related discipline from a leading universityMinimum 1 year working experienceBasic analytical, due diligence, and financial modelling skills; ability to analyse and value businesses, data analysis and modellingInterest in Venture Investment, Direct Investment and/or asset management industryAbility to write and deliver, in English, high-quality Board, strategy and other position papersExcellent interpersonal skills with fluency in Mandarin and EnglishStrong work ethic and demonstrate commitment to excellencePro-active, self-motivated and goal-orientedStrong team player, able to work effectively in a team environmentPreferable to have experience in coding skillsThe position is on a 1-year temporary contract.
