We are seeking an exceptional Senior Scientific Officer & Head of R&D to lead our Research and Development department. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a strong scientific background, a passion for innovation, and a proven track record of successfully managing and executing research projects. As the Head of R&D, you will be responsible for setting the strategic direction of our research efforts, overseeing project planning and execution, and fostering a culture of scientific excellence.

  Duties and Responsibilities

  • In charge of R&D activities for products & services development
  • Facilitate the development and execution of Company research strategies
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage research projects
  • Product development design and validation in genetic testing
  • Preparation of proposals, reports, SOPs , regulatory documents for ISO, CAP and Medical Device
  • Application of research funding
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • A Ph.D. degree in life sciences or a related field with extensive research and a minimum of 8 years management experience
  • elevant experience in molecular biology,  genetic testing, NGS techniques is a must.
  • Experience in diagnostic testing product development and commercialization
  • Working experience in ISO, CAP accredited laboratory
  • Advantageous to have experience in grant application and management
  • An excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese  (including Cantonese and Putonghua)
  • Highly self-motivated and organized, ability  to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
