The mission of the Pan Sutong Shanghai-Hong Kong Economic Policy Research Institute (PSEI) of Lingnan University is to promote policy-related research on economic development of Mainland China and Hong Kong.
Responsibilities
•Organizing conferences, workshops, seminars, and other research activities
•Preparing briefs, reports and materials for presentation and publication
•Supporting general administration of the Institute
•Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor(s)
•May also be required to work outside normal office hours (including weekends) and out of Hong Kong ( China Mainland) when required
Requirements
•A Bachelor’s degree or a higher degree in China Studies, economics, social policy, sociology, public administration or a related discipline
•A good understanding of China
•Strong skills in drafting briefs, speeches, reports and presentation materials
•The ability to take the initiative and to carry out duties independently and under tight schedules
•A good command of spoken and written Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua)
Salary and Benefits
Commencing salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits, where applicable, include annual leave, medical and dental benefits and mandatory provident fund.
The appointment will normally be made on an initial contract for one year with the possibility of contract renewal subject to mutual agreement.
