The 6-month full-time Internship at adidas provides you with a unique opportunity to apply what you’ve learned at university, use your knowledge in practice, and live your passion for sports in our Global Headquarter for Global Sourcing business in Hong Kong.

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

  • The Strategic Costing & Analytics team runs historical costing data reporting and analysis for sourcing senior leadership and costing community. The team provides data analytics solution and visualization for business insight. Our team also drives seasonal negotiations on Labor and Overhead (LOH) with a global supply base.

 

Key Responsibilities and Projects:

  • Support on the Power BI dashboard/ system/ data maintenance (e.g. historical cost & volume trend)
  • Support on future reporting and analytics landscape as the system is migrated to the new platform
  • Support on data automation directly linked to Lakehouse through Databricks
  • Identify areas in existing costing and reporting processes for improvement opportunities
  • Support on routine operational tasks including data downloads, data mapping (e.g., cost breakdown model), and process documentation (e.g., data modelling process)
  • Contribute to the strategic projects driven by the HK Costing team.
  • Support on the seasonal communication with external stakeholders.

Required main study courses:

  • Computer Science/Programming, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics or similar

 

Preferred university/ discipline:

  • N/A

 

Required language skills:

  • English, Mandarin, Cantonese

 

Additional skills/ qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills with eye for detail and interpretation
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite (esp. Power Point and Excel)
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI is a plus
  • Proficient in programming languages such as SQL, Python, or R is preferred but not mandatory
  • Willingness and self-motivation to learn new technologies and business knowledge
  • Ability to accept and meet critical deadlines with good planning and organization skills
  • Excellent communication skills and able to work collaboratively in a team environment
