The CUHK Business School is a leading business school and a pioneer in business education in Hong Kong. The DBA Programmes are highly selective programmes that aims to attract the senior executives and business leaders at sizable organizations based in Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area and beyond who have interests in research. Applicants should have (i) a Doctoral degree, preferably in Business, Humanities, Social Sciences or other related disciplines; (ii) at least two years of post-qualification work experience, with those gained in the tertiary education sector being advantageous; (iii) an excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua); (iv) good interpersonal skills and the capability to communicate effectively with people of diverse background; (v) a self-motivated, collaborative work attitude with excellent organisation skills; and (vi) a strong sense of ownership, and the capability to master various tasks independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision. Reporting to the Programme Director and / or his / her designate, the appointee is to (a) support the academic study journey, in particular on research components and thesis completion, of the DBA students by, such as facilitating supervisors and students in matching their research expertise / interests, assisting in keeping-track of the students’ progress, coordinating arrangements on passing candidature and oral defence, etc.; (b) serve as main contact point to provide administrative guidance and advice to students on research / thesis completion; (c) liaise and coordinate with internal and external parties including business partners for programme administration and management; and (d) perform other impromptu duties as assigned. Working at flexible hours / weekends and travelling may be required occasionally. Applicants must submit copies of certificates showing that they have fulfilled the language requirements and academic qualifications stated above, otherwise their applications will NOT be considered. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for two years commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance and mutual agreement. Review of applications will begin in mid-May 2023, and will continue until the position is filled. Shortlisted candidates may be invited for informal discussions, on campus visits, interviews and written test subsequently, as appropriate.
