The Aviation Policy and Research Center (APRC) under the Department of Decision Sciences and Managerial Economics of CUHK Business School is recruiting a full-time Research Associate / Senior Research Assistant (External Fund) / Research Assistant (External Fund).
 
Applicants should have (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science or Humanities, preferably in the fields of History, Journalism and Translation, or other related disciplines (for Research Assistant (External Fund)); OR a Bachelor’s degree in the abovementioned discipline, plus four years’ relevant post-qualification experience (for Senior Research Assistant (External Fund)); OR a Master’s degree in the abovementioned discipline, plus four years’ relevant post-qualification experience (for Research Associate); (ii) the ability to work independently; (iii) proficiency in Chinese and English and good communication skills; and (iv) a strong sense of responsibility. Research experience or experience in working with government and organisation archives is preferred.

The appointee will (a) examine archives and local documents related to aviation development in Hong Kong from 1891 to the present; (b) manage a research team; (c) assist in various aspects of research and related activities; and (d) perform other general administrative duties as assigned.

Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
