Position Overview

We are on the hunt for an enthusiastic Research Scientist Team Lead to join our growing team. In this role, you will contribute and manage the research in TCM research. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in developing innovative formulation technology know-how of the company and a passion for promoting health and wellness. 


Opportunities

You will be involved in the planning and execution of pharmaceutical development programs for innovative products for the company, and working with a team of professionals to develop platform technology for the company. You will also acquire understanding of the scientific knowledge and technical know-how required for pharmaceutical advanced formulation technology. You will build up strength in the competitive environment of local and global pharmaceutical industries.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead a small team of Scientists to formulate new health products in various oral forms including but not limited to capsule, sachet, tablets etc. Laboratory hand-on work is required.
  • Participate in the ITF project and post - ITF project on novel traditional chinese medicines development
  • Develop new research technologies in new formulation techniques for novel TCM health products
  • Participate in searching literature, sourcing for new equipment, and writing proposal and funding
  • Trouble-shoot technical issues in the technology transfer process.
  • Perform formulation chracterization such as moisture content, particle size analysis, micriscopic observation,
  • Communicate with various departments on the technology transfer development and commercialization of health products, content assay, and dissolution experimnet
  • Maintain the workflow and provide training to staff, including but not limited to sourcing of vendors of raw materials, developing formulations, scaling-up and performing technology transfer to production department.
  • Perform literature search to support product claim.
  • Support other R&D activities.
  • Must be hands on in participating formulation experiments and other activities,

Requirements

Who We're Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Chinese Medicines, Food and Nutritional Science, Botany, Chemistry, or related field.
  • Must have a keen sense of taste and possess chemical knowledge in health supplement, Traditional Chinese Medicine ingredients and tea.
  • Basic knowledge in Traditional Chinese Medicine properties and function is highly appreciated.
  • 5 years experiences in the technical development in food/FMCG industry. Leadership experiences in other related scientific area will also be considered.
  • Good team working, time management, and multiple project management skills.
