The Data Analytics and Solution Workstream under Financial Reporting and Management designs and delivers the technology solution for both IFRS17 and EEV reporting, and ensures the solution reflect the technical interpretation and comply with the IFRS17 Standard and EEV Principles, and is responsible for the business-as-usual process and controls for both bases.

This role is mainly to focus on the review the design, production and control of the upstream reporting process to ensure both the efficiency of the solution and the accuracy of actuarial data to meet with downstream reporting requirements set out by the Group, as well as advise on the governance & controls framework to ensure compliance with internal and SOX control requirements.

Job Descriptions:

Upstream Process Design: Review, comment and drive the design of both IFRS17 and EEV actuarial reporting upstream process flow, including both on-cycle and off-cycle reporting process, to ensure that the design is practical, efficient, meeting the BAU deliverables timeline suggested by Group office and in line with the technical interpretation of the Standard or Principles from actuarial perspective.

Review and Deliver Upstream Production: Drive the team to deliver the upstream production including but not limited to actuarial database formation, model point generation, asset share, fund balance roll-forward, policy movement analysis, miscellaneous data processing and requirement by downstream production.

Governance & Controls : Ensure proper processes, governance and controls are in place for supporting related audit review work during the BAU production .

Job Requirements:

Associate of the Society of Actuaries or equivalent University graduate At least 6 years of relevant experience Candidate with less experience may be considered as assistant manager Solid experience in life insurance industry, preferably with financial reporting in-house BAU experience; Possessing in-depth knowledge to the IFRS 17 standard and EEV Principles is a plus; Experience in people management and coaching A team player with good interpersonal skills, able to work independently and under pressure. Good command of both spoken and written English, Chinese is an advantage.
