Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop and ship customer-centric frontend features for Bowtie's web application.Work on projects including customer portal, group insurance portal, healthcare-related applications, and insurance workflow system.Collaborate cross-functionally with product, data, design, and engineering teams to build products from initial conception to testing and rollout.Find new approaches, improve the developer experience, and remove friction around applying Bowtie's signature design.Drive the adoption of our design system across the company, within all apps and integrations through cross-functional collaboration.For a senior position, grow the team by attracting, onboarding, and coaching new/junior engineers.Build accessible and customer-centric web applications to support our vision of making insurance good again.Minimum Qualifications5+ years of solid experience in software engineering and working across the entire development life-cycle.Previous mentorship and coaching experience is a must.Professional experience with ReactJS or any modern JavaScript web framework (VueJS, Angular, etc.).A solid understanding of core web and browser concepts and semantic HTML, CSS, and core JavaScript concepts.Ability to present and explain complex concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.Prior experience in a startup environment/software product company is a plus but not a must.Self-motivated and self-managing with great organizational skills and ability to lead, plan, and execute complex technical projects from start to finish.Strong system design and architecture skills.Be autonomous; take full ownership of your work and drive your personal development.Preferred QualificationsWorking knowledge of TypeScript.Experience in any of the following fields:

Your projects can range from developing claims systems, improving our underwriting engine, to creating tools that enhance our teams' efficiency.Our engineers work in a cross-functional team responsible for the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.
