Claims Officer / Claims Assistant (Travel Insurance / Personal Lines)Job Summary To handle personal line claims focusing on Travel. With low levels of supervision to manage standard complex (medium/high severity/complexity) claims in the most effective, efficient way whilst delivering a customer centric claims service in a manner which supports Zurich Basics. Job Accountabilities Responsible for personal line claims focusing on Travel. Review, resolve and proactively finalize claims within authority limits ensuring settlement at an optimum level. Provide technical support to the team. Assist the Claims Manager in managerial tasks and other ad hoc tasks. Adhere to local regulatory and governance requirements throughout the life of the claim to ensure that we make decisions using the right standards. Compliance with customer protocols/service charter. Job Qualifications Preferably Bachelor degree or above; Diploma holder with solid relevant working experience will also be considered.2 years or above experience in Travel and Personal Lines claims. Experience in travel and/or Retail Property claims with good customer service skill is a must. Achieved the recognised industry standard (e.g. Senior Associate of ANZIIF). Technical knowledge of products and services. Good technical claims handling knowledge in claims handling, preferably travel claims. Understand local legislation and legal liability. Understand industry standards and protocol. Knowledge of claims agreements. Interpretation of policy over Knowledge and application of the litigation process. Data analytical skill is preferred. Be able to articulate how to prioritise and work to deadlines. Desire to learn and be flexible to business change. Candidates with less experience can be considered as Claims Assistant.
