Position Overview

Young Viper Gear is seeking a highly skilled and bilingual Accountant proficient in both spoken and written English and Chinese to join our growing e-commerce company. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Head of Finance (based in the US) and interact daily with our accountant based in China. This role is integral to maintaining the financial integrity of our US and global operations, ensuring compliance with international accounting standards, and supporting the smooth collaboration between our US and Chinese financial teams.

We’re looking for a proactive, detail-oriented accountant with a strong understanding of financial operations in both China and the US. If you’re looking for a role where you can utilize your cross-cultural skillset in accounting, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities (tasks associated with the role)

Financial Reporting & Reconciliation:

Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including income statements,balance sheets, and cash flow statementsPerform bank reconciliations and month-end closingsCross-Border Collaboration:Communicate daily with the accountant in China to align on intercompanytransactions, reconciliations, and compliance mattersTranslate financial documents and ensure accurate interpretation for seamlesscollaboration between US and Chinese teamsCompliance & Taxation:Ensure compliance with US GAAP, as well as local regulations in both the US and ChinaAssist with federal, state, and international tax filings and auditsAccounts Payable & Receivable:Manage invoicing, vendor payments, and accounts receivable processesMonitor and address payment discrepancies and follow up on overdue accountsBudgeting & Forecasting:Support the Head of Finance in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial analysesProcess Improvement:Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and implement improvementsRequirements (expected proficiencies to excel in this role)Must be bilingual in Chinese (Mandarin/Cantonese) and English, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both languagesMinimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or financial management, preferably in the e-commerce industry with experience working with Amazon marketplaceExperience consolidating P&L reports from multiple companies into one reportFamiliarity with ERP systems and inventory management toolsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldCertified Public Accountant (CPA) designation, or is preferredStrong knowledge of US GAAP and familiarity with Chinese accounting principlesProficiency in QuickBooks accounting software and advanced MS Excel skillsExperience working cross-culturally with international teams, particularly in ChinaExcellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural teamDetail-oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlinesExperience with Kingdee Software, 金蝶, is requiredWorking Hours & Location

This is a remote role. Flexibility is required to work across time zones, with regular working hours to overlap with the team in China (9:30 AM-6:30 PM China time / 6:30 PM-10:30 PM PST).

Offer Details

This is a full-time contract position that is remote and may require some travel.

Pay is between HK$28K – HK$53K /monthly based on experience.
