This role is pivotal in ensuring the effective management of market and liquidity risk, adhering to Bank’s policies and guidelines to protect the bank from unexpected damage and loss. Key Responsibilities: Oversee day-to-day operations as the treasury middle office, focusing on market and liquidity risk management for the Hong Kong Branch. Measure the Mark-To-Market value of financial instruments and assess market and liquidity risk positions using Excel and relevant systems. Collaborate closely with Treasury front and back office teams to ensure accurate reporting and risk assessment. Monitor compliance with established limits on losses and risk positions, implementing necessary actions to address any breaches. Prepare and present risk reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and potential risk exposures. Conduct regular reviews of risk management processes and contribute to the enhancement of operational efficiency. Stay updated on market trends and regulatory changes impacting market risk management practices. Requirements: University degree or higher in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Relevant work experience in market risk or a related area, preferably within the banking or financial sector. Strong knowledge of market risk principles and practices, particularly in both banking and trading books. Proficiency in using financial data platforms such as Reuters and Bloomberg. Programming skills in Macro, VBA, or Python would be an advantage, enhancing data analysis and reporting capabilities. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders. A proactive mindset with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Good command in written and spoken English and Chinese.
