In this role, you will oversee and manage the daily trade booking and settlement operations for a wide range of financial products, including Equities, Derivatives, Fixed Income, Repo, Reverse Repo, and Derivative Structured products. You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth settlement processes, compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving operational excellence within the settlement function. The key responsibilities for this position are as follows: Settlement Operations Management: Supervise and manage daily trade booking and settlement operations across various financial products, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Trade Processing: Execute trade processing and settlement functions, including preparing settlement instructions through clearing platforms such as Euroclear, CMU, and Fedwire. Settlement Monitoring: Monitor settlement status, collaborate with counterparties and business teams to resolve potential settlement failures, and follow up with exchanges or other parties on any issues. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant rules, regulations, and reporting requirements (e.g., LOP, Hong Kong Trade Repository) as mandated by the firm and regulatory bodies. Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding settlement-related issues and inquiries. Process Improvement: Continuously review and enhance departmental processes to improve workflow efficiency, reduce turnaround times, and strengthen risk control measures. Procedure Manuals: Establish or update procedure manuals to cover new product launches and ensure robust risk control monitoring. Audit & Regulatory Inspections: Serve as a key contributor during audit exercises, regulatory inspections, and headquarter checks. Project Participation: Participate in new product launches or system upgrade projects as the settlement function representative, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Ad Hoc Projects: Support and lead ad hoc projects as assigned by senior management. Successful applicants will have the following skills and experience: Experience: Minimum of 10 years of hands-on settlement experience, particularly in Hong Kong market futures, options, and fixed income products. Product Knowledge: Strong understanding of Stock Borrowing & Lending (SBL) processes, equity derivatives, and delta-one products. Market Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of global equity settlement processes and HK-listed futures/options clearing procedures. Technical Skills: Proficiency in settlement systems such as CCASS, DCASS, and Euroclear. KYC & Onboarding: Familiarity with KYC and client onboarding processes is a plus. Leadership: Proven people management and organizational skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team. Operational Excellence: Demonstrated ability to drive operational efficiency in a fast-paced environment. Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
